 A deep clean is carried out to strip away any sealer that exist ,this will ensure the new sealent can better penetrate the stone.

The area is scrubbed and washed down to ensure any residual product is removed after which a new sealer may be  applied.

Sealers

Most types of natural stone require a sealer, this will protect the stone and can also be used to enhance its colour

Sealers break down into two catagories,impregnators and sealants

Sealants and surface waxes form a physical barrier between the stone and its enviorment.

Impregnators penetrate the pores of the stone and protect from within,

Surface waxes can be applied  to achieve a more subtle finish

  Stone sealing is an essential part of stone care.

Maintenance

Grinding and polishing can be provided as a one-off restorative project, or as a corrective procedure, but many of our clients choose to invest in a maintenance programme.
